Breadfruit trees are a familiar sight in many yards across Barbados…and now an opportunity to make some extra cash.
Export Barbados (BIDC) says it is currently developing breadfruit products for export and has an immediate need for 2000 lbs of of the produce.
In order to reach this goal, it’s encouraging those who own breadfruit trees and have ripe breadfruits available, to sell them to the entity at a cost of $1 each.
Interested parties are encouraged to get in contact, and also to register as Export Barbados looks to join with local breadfruit producers to grow exports.
