Barbadians are being warned against self-medicating with antibiotics if the country is to get a handle on antimicrobial resistance.
This is the message from Dr. the Most Honourable Corey Forde, who was speaking on the sidelines of a lecture given by the American University of Barbados.
The lecture was delivered by prominent specialist in the area Dr. Michael Parry.
Dr. Forde added that we need to see the resistance like a slow moving pandemic.
