The water prohibition for Barbados has been extended.
Minister of Transport, Works and Water Resources made the disclosure at a media conference at the offices of the Barbados Water Authority, the Pine, St. Michael today.
She said Barbadians had shown compliance with the first order but monitoring systems in place suggest Barbados is not out of the woods.
The BWA’s Manager of Environmental Resources, Alex Ifill said the recent passing of Tropical Storm Bret had brought significant rainfall but the island is still in a drought.
