Leader of Government Business and Minister of Energy Senator Lisa Cummins believes all Barbadians are awaiting the transformation of the Barbados Licensing Authority (BLA).
She acknowledged a number of changes have been undertaken over the years to assist, more recently amendments to the Road Traffic Act.
She welcomed the changes to the legislation on driver’s license renewal for seniors and the inclusion of privately-owned garages to assess vehicles.
Senator Cummins, as she led off Debate on the Road Traffic Amendment Bill, highlighted her personal experience telling the Senate the inclusion of private garages will ease the Licensing Authority.
