US President Joe Biden has formally launched his campaign for a second term in 2024.
In a video released early Tuesday, Biden framed next year’s contest as a fight against Republican extremism, arguing he needed more time to fulfill his economic policy vision.
Vice President Kamala Harris will once again be his running mate.
Political Analyst, Peter Wickham and others internationally have been weighing in since the announcement by Biden, who is already the oldest US President at 80 years.
While stressing that he’s not ageist, Mr. Wickham says he would have preferred if the Democratic party had selected another candidate.
Mr. Wickham made the comments in response to a caller on Q100.7 FM’s “Let’s Talk About It”, who called into question Mr. Biden’s age and the pressure that comes with the post of President of the United States.
