Barbadian Sada Williams has taken the Bronze medal in the finals of the 400m at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, and set a new national record.
Williams, who ran in lane 7, came third with a time of 49.75.
Taking the Gold was the Bahamas’ Shaunae Miller-Uibo with a time of 49.11, and the Silver medal went to the Dominican Republic’s Marileidy Paulino who ran 49.60.
Sada is the 2nd Barbadian ever to medal at the World Athletics Championships.
