Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley is reassuring Barbadians work is ongoing to deconstruct and better improve the services of the Accident and Emergency Department of the state-owned Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
She has revealed that officials from a hospital chain from New York were brought in to assist in this regard.
The Prime Minister was at the time responding to concerns raised regarding the QEH during the latest Parish Speaks held in St. Thomas last night.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Works and Water Resources, Santia Bradshaw meanwhile addressed concerns relating to bus service, lack of bus shelters and bus scheduling.
One St. Thomas resident shared with the forum the impact it is having on school children, particularly those attending the Alleyne School.
Ms. Bradshaw in response says they are aware of the challenges and have held discussions with the Ministry of Education on improving service to schools.
