The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training on this Teachers’ Professional Day, has pledged its commitment to ensuring there are opportunities for continuous professional development of teachers and to contributing to their total well being.
Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw says the Ministry’s commitment is reflected in the theme for Education Month ‘Promoting Quality Education Through Healthy Minds and Bodies’.
She says Barbados has a cadre of well equipped educators, and notes that their labour has not gone unnoticed and is highly valued.
Dr. Archer-Bradshaw reminded teachers of the drive by the Ministry towards the promotion of agriculture, good nutrition and physical education in all schools.
