Central Bank Governor Dr. Kevin Greenidge says work is advancing for Caribbean countries to trade in their own currencies with Africa.
He revealed that countries are looking to adopt the currency conversion mechanism.
The update was provided during a panel discussion as part of the ongoing second Afri-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum in Guyana.
Dr. Greenidge adds that there’s a need for cooperation between central banks in the Caribbean and Africa.
