The importance of young people telling their story through film has been underscored by a British director.
Joan Hillery, the Director of the feature length film ‘That Great British Documentary’ is on island for the Barbados International Film Festival.
CBC News spoke with her on the opening night of the festival.
It was a special night for Keya Bartlett, the 2022 recipient of last year’s Collaboration Film Grant.
With the grant, she was able to co-direct a film ‘When Kites Fly’, which premiered at the festival.
