Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit has made it clear this will be his last elections as leader of the Dominica Labour Party (DLP).
He wants to place the country on a path of national reset so its can achieve its goals.
Mr. Skerrit, in the face of criticism from the opposition United Workers Party again defended the decision to call a snap election stressing that Dominica’s constitution is like other Commonwealth countries.
He is confident if elections were to be delayed until constitutionally due in 2024, the DLP would win again.
The Dominican leader was a guest on Q100.7FM’s Let’s Talk About It programme with host Peter Wickham on Tuesday.
