Tropical wave affecting Barbados

A Tropical Wave is affecting the island.

According to the Barbados Meteorological Services, the forecast for this evening (from 6:00 p.m.) is a mix of clear skies and clouds, with occasional brief scattered light to moderate showers. There’s also a very slight chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Barbados will experience an easterly breeze from 35 to 45 km/h (22 to 28 mph) with higher gusts.

Seas will be moderate in open water, with swells ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 metres ( 5 to 8 ft ) and increasing.

Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.
