Chelsea Tuach had another good day on the waves yesterday as she has advanced to the third round of the Women’s competition at the ISA World Surf Games in La Bocana, El Salvador.
Chelsea was the winner of her heat when she posted best wave totals of 6.73 and 6.17 for an overall 12.90 points.
Speaking after her win she said practice has paid off for her performance so far.
It was not so good for another local female surfer – Chelsea Roett.
She finished fourth in her heat after best waves of 4.17 and 4.07 for a total 8.24. She now goes into the Women’s repechage.
In the Men’s competition, Che Allan kept his medal hopes alive when he was second in his heat to head into the third round.
Che posted a total of 10.06 points, behind winner Lucca Mesinas of Peru who had 11.83.
Che joins Jacob Burke in that Men’s third round, set for today.
