Bajan Gems’ flawless victory

The Barbados Senior Women’s Netball Team returned home after winning all of their matches at the E.C.C.B International Series in Antigua.

The Gems who were one of two invited teams finished with a perfect 8-0 record after beating St. Vincent and the Grenadines in their final match at the YMCA Complex.

They led 17-5, 31-16, 44-25, before closing out the match 54-39.

Goal Shooter Faye Agard had 37 goals from 47 attempts and Goal Attack Latonia Blackman 15 from 19.

At the closing ceremony, Shonica Wharton was adjudged the Best Mid-Court Player, Latonia Blackman the Most Accurate Shooter and Barbados was the Best Defensive Team in the competition.
