Barbados’ record has fallen to 2-1 at the inaugural 50th Anniversary CARICOM Chess Team Championship in Guyana.
After winning their opening two fixtures yesterday against Suriname and Bahamas, Barbados lost to rivals Trinidad and Tobago is this morning’s match 3 ½ to ½.
Katrina Blackman secured the half-point for Barbados, with Emar Edwards, Dr. Phillip Corbin and Hannah Wilson losing their match-ups.
The result drops Barbados from 3rd to 5th, with Trinidad leading the standings.
