Defending champions Mark’s Auto Spares Belair Stars pulled off an exciting two wicket victory over Mac Dee’s Bar Oistins C Mix, to win the Maxwell Sports Club T20 Tapeball final at Briar Hall.
Sent into bat C Mix racked up a competitive 170-7 off their 20 overs, led by 41 apiece from Andy Debiden and Lonsdale Blake.
Bowling for the stars, Jamar Ifill took 4-22.
In reply, Devon Phillips with an unbeaten 35 off just eight balls stole the show as Belair Stars reached 171 with two balls to spare, to secure the $6000 top prize.
His knock included one four and five 6’s, while Ravendra Persaud added 47 off 26 balls.
Kemo Baird and Blake finished with two wickets apiece.
