C.W.I 4-day matches action intensifies

Rain has halted play in the C.W.I 4-day final round match between the Barbados Pride at West Indies Academy at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.

Some play was possible on today’s third day and the Pride established an 83-run lead with six wickets remaining.

Resuming the day on 109 for three having lost Zachary McCaskie for eight; Shian Brathwaite for 21 and Jonathan Drakes for six they lost the wicket of Kevin Wickham for 35 to be 173 for four.

Skipper Kraigg Brathwaite is on 81 and Raymon Reifer on 14.

Yesterday the Pride bowled out the Academy for 243 in reply to their first innings total of 153.

Meanwhile, over at the Frank Worrell Memorial Ground in Trinidad rain also has delayed the match between the Guyana Harpy Eagles and Combined Campuses and Colleges.

Harpy Eagles require 133 runs to win.

Scores there: C.C.C 200 & 165 for seven; Harpy Eagles 223 and 48 without loss.

Also in Trinidad at Queens Park Oval, Leeward Islands Hurricanes lead Windward Islands Volcanoes by 298 runs.

Scores: Hurricanes 300 & 177 for three; Volcanoes 179.

And at Sabina Park in Jamaica, hosts Scorpions trail Trinidad and Tobago Red Force by 235 runs.

Scores: Red Force 432; Scorpions 189 and eight without loss.
