Sir Garfield Sobers Giants registered a two-wicket victory over Sir Gordon Greenidge Trail Blazers, on the opening day of the Barbados Cricket Association’s Legends Cup at Weymouth.
Sent in to bat first, the Trail Blazers were bowled out for 223 in 43.4 overs, thanks to a five-wicket haul from leg spinner Joshua Bishop who had figures of five for eighteen.
Lenicko Boucher top scored with 40, while Kevin Wickham added 33.
In reply, the Giants got up to 225 for eight in 38.5 overs.
Reshawn Worrell top scored with 45 off 61 balls, while fellow opener Zachary McCaskie was unbeaten on 32.
Jomel Warrican was the pick of the bowlers capturing 3-32 in 10 overs
