“Pat’ssewingmachine” signalled that he is a contender for this year’s Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup when he won the Coolmore Stakes and trophy, the warm-up to the big race, as the Barbados Turf Club held the Coolmore “Home Of Champions” race day at the Garrison Savannah over the weekend.
Piloted by Teshawn Hazlewood and owned by Fun in the Sun Racing, the overseas-based Bay Gelding won from a field of five entries in a time of one minute, 52.80 seconds.
