Upon returning home from the recently concluded Huntsman Senior Games in Utah, USA, our national senior athletes have expressed their concern about a lack of proper facilities to train.
The team returned home with a haul of 31 medals, 10 of which belong to Ainsley Lovell with 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
Another star athlete was Henderson Waltruss who gained four gold medals.
While both were pleased with their performances, they admitted the road to the games was not an easy one.
Given the significance of next year’s games being a qualification for the World Senior Olympics, Senior Athlete and Manager of the team Kathy Harper-Hall, says now more than ever they’re calling for the support to be fully ready.
