11 new COVID-19 cases recorded on August 10th, 2021

11 new cases of COVID-19 – that’s 5 males and 6 females – were identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory, out of the 1,081 tests conducted on Tuesday, August 10th.

The number of people in isolation is 106.

A total of 4,496 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,184 females and 2,312 males) have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. 48 people have died from the viral illness.

The public health laboratory has carried out 233,008 tests since February last year.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 100,698 people have received first doses of the vaccine, while 82,088 people (30.3% of the population) have been given second doses and are fully vaccinated.
