Further increase in daily COVID-19 numbers predicted

Noted local physician and social commentator Dr. Adrian Lorde is predicting a further increase in daily COVID-19 numbers.

Today’s dashboard showed 674 people tested positive for the viral illness on April 19th.

While referring to the highly contagious nature of the new Omicron subvariant and numerous events staged over the long Easter weekend, Dr. Lorde believes the real numbers will manifest in the coming days.

Dr. Lorde is warning Barbadians against becoming complacent even as Government relaxes the COVID-19 protocols.
