Health Minister Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic has acknowledged that successive days of triple digit positive COVID-19 cases have stretched existing resources to the limit.

He was at the time responding to a video that circulated on Sunday, in which a women was expressing concern about a lack of facilities at the Blackman and Gollop isolation facility.

Speaking during a brief press conference last evening, Minister Bostic said, among other things, Government will be looking to very shortly implement a secure home quarantine and isolation system, while his Ministry will also be meeting with the Ministry of People Empowerment to address the issue of families where positive senior members have to be isolated along with negative children, elderly or disabled family members.

Minister Bostic also expressed concern that the video was circulated in the first place since it would have violated the quarantine and isolation protocols.

He says it cast a dark shadow on the operations of the facility and its hard working staff.
