PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said Wednesday, that a 23-year-old woman had been arrested after police seized at least 600 rounds of ammunition following a shootout on Tuesday, in the west central town of Freeport.
The police said that during a mobile patrol, officers received information and as a result stopped a vehicle with two occupants.
“However, the driver ran into a bushy area and escaped. When the officers searched the vehicle, they found a blue bag with 600 rounds of 5.56 ammunition. A female passenger was arrested and the ammunition was secured,” the statement said.
