With sweltering temperatures expected to continue over the next few days, plans are in place to ensure revellers stay hydrated on Monday for Grand Kadooment Day.
The National Cultural Foundation says out of an abundance of caution, it has increased the number of watering stations along the route to 15 and showers to 7 at key points on the road.
Some 12,000 masqueraders in 24 bands are expected to participate in the jump which starts from Warrens around 8, and ends on the Mighty Grynner Highway.
The NCF has also introduced activation points where live entertainment will be provided throughout the day.
