21 COVID-19 deaths occurred in Barbados during the period Friday, November 5th, to Thursday, November 11th. Of these, 16 (or 76%) were males.
The ages of those individuals who died from the viral illness range from 46 to 91, with the median age being 76. Additionally, underlying illnesses or comorbidities were found in 86% of the deceased, with 13 of them (62%) having more than one comorbidity.
The two main comorbidities reported were diabetes and hypertension. The others were cancer, kidney disease and dementia.
Seventeen (81%) of the deceased were unvaccinated. Two people were partially vaccinated and two fully vaccinated.
