21 new cases of COVID-19 recorded as number in isolation climbs to 183

21 people, 11 males and 10 females, have been identified as COVID-19 positive by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory out of the 1,398 tests conducted on Wednesday, August 25th.
The number of people in isolation is 183.
Barbados has recorded 4,741 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,313 females and 2,428 males) since March 2020. The death toll from the virus is 48.
To date, the laboratory has carried out 254,009 tests.
Public health officials have administered 105,664 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines under the National Vaccination Programme.
Additionally, 92,706 people (34.2% of the population) have received second doses and are fully vaccinated.
