The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has identified 21 new COVID-19 cases, 10 males and 11 females, out of the 1,233 tests conducted on Monday, August 16th.
There are currently 120 people in isolation.
Since the start of the pandemic, Barbados has recorded 4,581 confirmed cases of the viral illness (2,231 females and 2,350 males), and 48 deaths.
The public health laboratory has conducted 241,539 tests.
To date, 101,149 first doses have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. Meanwhile, 86,141 people (31.8% of the population) have received their second dose, and are fully vaccinated.
