4.4% economic growth recorded for 2023

Barbados has recorded economic growth of 4.4% for 2023.

This information was relayed by Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, Dr. Kevin Greenidge as he delivered the review of Barbados’ economic performance in 2023.

The growth was driven by tourism.

Dr. Greenidge says the Barbadian economy has proven to be quite resilient in 2023.

He also reveals inflation has edged up slightly, primarily due to local factors.
