The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 436 new COVID-19 cases – 219 males and 217 females – on Monday, November 1st. Of this number, 97 people were under the age of 18, and 339 were 18 years and older.

The facility conducted 2,265 tests.

There are 815 people in isolation facilities, and 5,885 in home isolation.

To date, 149,174 people – 65.3 per cent of the eligible population – have received at least one dose of the vaccine under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.

A total of 127,311 people (47 per cent of the total population or 55.7 per cent of the eligible population) have received their second doses and are fully vaccinated. The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older.

Since the start of the pandemic, Barbados has conducted 392,318 tests and recorded 18,459 confirmed cases (8,946 males and 9,513 females) of COVID-19.
