Barbados is the latest Caribbean country to receive a donation of COVID-19 vaccines from Argentina.
A shipment of 30 thousand doses arrived at 8:00 this morning at the Grantley Adams International Airport.
Minister of Health, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic was among a local team on hand at the Airport to receive the donation.
The donation was coordinated by the Argentine White Helmets, a humanitarian institution with an active presence in the region.
Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero says the donations are a token of the historical friendship and positive relations between his country and the Caribbean region.
Charge d’Affaires, Angel Dalmazzo believes that no country will be safe until all countries are safe.
