The quality of care for dialysis patients is expected to improve with the donation of two new dialysis machines and 15 chairs to the Artificial Kidney Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The donation, valued at over $120,000, will bring the number of chairs in the Unit to 24.
It was made by the Barbados International Business Association Charity, in honour of the late Ben Arrindell, who was a valued member of the global business community.
Executive Director of BIBA, Carmel Haynes, says the funds were raised through the staging of the annual Ben Arrindell International Golf Classic last year.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Ben Arrindell International Golf Classic is slated for November 5 at Royal Westmoreland.
