The Autism Association of Barbados has one New Year’s wish and that is to finally have a home to offer recreational space to the increasing number of children being diagnosed with autism in Barbados.
This is from the Public Relations Officer of the association, Nadia Simmons.
She says there have been some public remarks made identifying a property in the Garrison area however they have not yet heard anything concrete.
Ms. Simmon’s comment came as the association held a fun day and movie night at All Saint Primary School all in aid of raising funds in faith to outfit the property once it is acquired.
Ms. Simmons says the movie night fundraiser was a hit and they would like to make it an annual event.
