Randy Harris will be seeking re-election as president of the Barbados Football Association in March.
He tells CBC Sports there is still work to be done, as the BFA seeks to enhance and improve football on the island.
Harris has been at the helm of local football for over 11 years but his position is expected to be challenged at the annual general meeting.
The challenges faced by the BFA at the national team level are expected to be a hot topic item after recent poor results in the Concacaf Nations League and the early exit of the Lady Tridents team from Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup.
Harris says teams in the region have made significant progress as compared to 20 years ago.
Additionally, he says Barbados is at a disadvantage when it comes to acquiring the services of internationally based players.
