A Barbadian has been selected to serve as the Acting Deputy Police Commissioner of Montserrat.
He is Wade Chase, a Chief Inspector from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.
He took the oath in the presence of the Governor, Sarah Tucker
Mr. Chase, a past student of the Deighton Griffith School, will serve as Deputy Commissioner for the next month to support the Montserrat Police.
On May 18, Mark Payne, a former UK Commander of West Midlands Region Counter Terrorism Unit, was sworn in as Acting Commissioner of Police.
He is expected to serve in that position for the next few months.
