Barbadian Chevening Scholars saluted

Barbadian Chevening Scholars have come in for praise from the UK Minister for the Caribbean, David Rutley who saluted them for their contributions in various fields.

Mr. Rutley, who is on a visit to Barbados, says these men and women continue to make a difference.

It was a chance to mix and mingle with the Scholars as the British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean hosted a cocktail reception at the High Commissioner’s official residence, marking the 40th anniversary of the Chevening Scholarship Scheme.

Mr. Rutley says Chevening Scholars from across the Americas are making important connections as they grow.

Danielle Howell, a 2020 Chevening Scholar, says scholars over the years have gained prominence.
