The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) says it is currently tracking the progress of a tropical wave located on the West African coast along 18W.
It says the tropical wave of interest is expected to track westward to west-northwestward within the next 7 days.
The BMS says model guidance suggests the wave will pass north of Barbados around Friday, June 23, 2023, and any development of the system is expected to be slow at this time.
There are currently no watches or warnings in effect for Barbados, but the public is encouraged to monitor official sources over the coming days.
An update will be issued tomorrow, Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
