Barbados’ universal health care system is being reviewed with the intention of making it more efficient.
This revelation from Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Ryan Straughn, during the morning session of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) conference, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.
Minister Straughn says the recently introduced School Nutrition Policy is one of the administration’s attempts at proactively addressing health issues.
He also highlighted the link between health, productivity and debt.
