Another phase of the CARICOM Skilled Workers Programme is underway in Barbados.

Representatives from Dominica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Belize were welcomed in Bridgetown as they started a one-week work-related attachment.

The CSME focal point workers were greeted at the office of the Prime Minister of Barbados by the Acting Permanent Secretary Paula Byer the host focal point, Shenelle Richards and Titus Preville, Director of the CARICOM Single Market at the CARICOM Secretariat.

The initiative provides opportunities for learning best practices in the administration of the regimes of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy, and to develop practical skills to assist states in implementing the CSME and decisions of the bloc.

The aim is to foster advocates for CARICOM integration through the exposure given to the participants.
