The Department of Emergency Management has received 21 damage reports as a result of yesterday’s adverse weather.
Director Kerry Hinds provided the update in a telephone interview with CBC News, as she indicated officials expect that number could rise.
She provided a breakdown of the damage by parish.
Ms. Hinds says there were no reports of injuries and those affected were referred to the relevant agencies for assistance, including temporary accommodation in the case of one Christ Church family.
She believes what occurred yesterday underscores the need to stay ready during the hurricane season.
