Efforts continue to merge social services

Discussion on the Estimates continued this afternoon with the introduction of a new head under the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs in the amount of 97.3 million dollars.

Noting that the Ministry seeks to put people and their dignity at the forefront of what they do, Minister Kirk Humphrey gave a sense of where some of the expenditure identified for his Ministry in the Estimates will be going.

He also gave an update on efforts to amalgamate the various social services.
