Multiple containers of eggs have arrived on island to prevent an egg shortage.
This update from Stephen Layne President of the Barbados Egg and Poultry Producers’ Association.
He said the cooperation between the Barbados Agriculture Society and the Ministry of Agriculture has resulted in a temporary solution as local producers work to increase supply.
Mr. Layne cautioned Barbadians not to engage in panic buying as we approach the Yuletide season as there are enough eggs on island.
