‘Female’ assisting police with fire investigations

The Barbados Police Service notes that “a person of interest (female) is assisting with our investigation” of a house fire at River Land, St. Philip.

The wooden one-bedroom house was owned and occupied by 53-year-old Keith Gittens.

The report was received around 7:30 a.m. at the Police Operations Control Room. Two fire tenders and nine fire officers led by Divisional Officers Perch and McCallister were on the scene.

The blaze was extinguished at 9:37 a.m. No one was home when the uninsured house was destroyed.
