In her contribution to Debate on the Protection of Agricultural Products Bill, 2022, St. Michael South Central MP Marsha Caddle made the bold assertion that some of the people responsible for the more sophisticated acts of praedial larceny are often farmers themselves.
With that in mind, she warned that the $100,000 fine for crop theft may not be sufficient.
