Focus on wellness

Though Barbados and the region are commanding their share of the tourism market and are seeing growth, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) sees potential for the region to tap into the wellness tourism sector.

President Nicola Madden-Greig says the market is a billion-dollar one that is booming and she is confident the region has all the factors to grow its wellness sector.

The CHTA boss was on the panel for a regional tourism and health virtual forum.

Mrs Madden-Greig wants the Caribbean to move towards developing a brand for the Caribbean as a health and wellness destination.
