Important initiative

Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey says initiatives that promote healthy living in Barbados are extremely important at this time, especially given the threat of NCDs and the ageing nature of society.

He made the comments as he toured several exhibits at the Healthy Living Expo, at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

The Minister says in all some 37 exhibitors are taking part in the Expo, noting that there is therefore a variety of healthy living options for Barbadians to consider
