Schoolchildren are expected to be exposed to new innovations in agriculture with the construction of a multi-million dollar facility.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir says phase one of construction for a tissue culture lab will also include an innovation centre.
42.7 million dollars has been allocated to the first phase of the project, and the Solicitor General’s Chambers is currently reviewing the contract with the developer.
Mr. Weir says once approved, he’s hopeful work will begin by early next month.
