The Barbados Licensing Authority is introducing new number plates for vehicles that are registered as commercial or trade vehicles.
The plates will be white with blue text and will carry the letter ‘C’ along with the assigned registration number.
Starting next month, owners of existing commercial vehicles will be required to transition to the new ‘C’ plates based on their vehicle renewal date. If the renewal date has passed for this year, the change will be made in 2024.
Examples of commercial or trade vehicles that are required to display the new ‘C’ plates include delivery vehicles, tractors, privately-owned ambulances, hearses and vehicles registered to conduct driving tests.
Taxis, PSVs and hired vehicles are excluded from this list.
