Opportunity for former ash clean-up workers

October 9, 2023

Several former workers of the Government’s Ash Clean-up Programme are to be brought back to assist with work on the ongoing Complant/Scotland District Road Rehabilitation Project and to assist the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water resources.

Deputy Prime Minister, Santia Bradshaw says many have taken up the training offered to better their skills. One such area is in the building of gabions which are needed in the Scotland District.

Ms Bradshaw was at the time addressing the Annual General Meeting of the Barbados Labour Party’s St. Michael South East branch at the Parkinson Memorial School.

There, she boasted of strides made in her constituency since becoming MP, including the transformation of Golden Rock and ensuring the community is clean.

She says plans are afoot for the removal of more old vehicles across the constituency.
