Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong is reporting progress on the way forward for Haiti.
According to reports out of Port-au-Prince, leaders have finalised a political accord for a proposed transition government.
Members of the Transition Council sent their plan to CARICOM on Sunday.
Ambassador Comissiong says the decision comes after a month of negotiations and discussion.
He was a guest on the Conversations on Caricom segment of CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
Ambassador Comissiong says restoring security remains a priority.
He says the Haitian National Police need help.
